Anre Maisen Hospitality Training Center


As tourism in Vietnam is growing, so is the demand for skilled workers in the hospitality industry. Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City (the largest city in Vietnam), Anre Maisen Hospitality Training Center is a vocational training center that teaches and trains the poor and disadvantaged youth (ages18-22) from all over Vietnam how to work in the hospitality industry (currently: restaurant servers, chefs, and bakers). As a newly established site that was founded in 2014 but recently acquired by the Salesians in 2017, Anre Maisen Hospitality Training Center is an ideal site for SLMs with a hospitality experience working in restaurants or hotels. SLMs at Anre Maisen Hospitality Training Center teach Hospitality Vocational English and Basic English to about 100 students.

Possible SLM Duties

  • Teach English
  • Teach vocational hospitality, including basic restaurant and kitchen vocabulary
  • Tutoring
  • Help to decorate the community for special events
  • Help organize different sporting leagues (basketball, soccer).
  • Visiting surrounding parishes on the weekend to help the brothers with catechism
